Anglevator: All-in-one Dental Surgical Instrument

Anglevator: All-in-one Dental Surgical Instrument

The Anglevator is an invention of GerDentUSA that has brought a remarkable innovation to the dental practice. This advanced instrument assists dental professionals in performing the functions of six tools, including Proximator, Chisel, Crane Pick, Elevator, Periotome, and Luxator.

Dr. Arthur Acker, a senior dentistry practitioner, designed the Anglevator, which has contributed to dentistry incredibly. Dr. Arthur has over 50 years of experience in the medical field. He has also given a detailed demonstration of the Anglevator.

With Anglevator’s special features, this hybrid instrument is ideal for elevating and luxating teeth during extraction procedures. Unlike conventional elevators, an Anglevator is helpful in many other dental surgeries, such as implant procedures.

Above all, our Anglevator is a six-in-one dental instrument. If dentists have an Anglevator at the clinic, they can use it in place of six dental tools. Also, this hybrid instrument is more comprehensive in its design than other tools. So, it is efficient for performing a number of dental procedures.

Available In Sets

For the convenience of dental professionals, a variety of sets are available for the Anglevator dental instrument on our website. In a set, there are Anglevators with varying tip sizes each with a different color for easy identification. These sets are designed to meet the multiple requirements of dentists during dental extractions and other oral surgical procedures.

Anglevator - An Overview

Let’s discuss in detail all those dental instruments that Anglevator can be used as a replacement for. We can use Anglevator in place of the following tools:

1. Dental Chisel

A dental chisel is an important periodontal instrument for cleaving, cutting, and re-contouring the bones. The double-ended instrument is ideal to assist dentists during the implant procedure. The sharp pointed tips with a curved or straight design can effectively remove and contour bone areas for implant insertion.

For optimum results, dentists can use the Anglevator as an alternative to a chisel to carry out the procedure more efficiently. The sharp tip and the palm-fit handle of the instrument help to cleave and remove the bones during implant surgery.

So, having our Anglevator at hand, the practitioners can conveniently perform the functions of a dental chisel.

2. Crane Pick

A crane pick is an elevator design instrument helpful in dental extraction procedures. The name of the instrument comes from its use and structure. It helps split multi-rooted teeth, making tooth removal easier and less traumatic. Moreover, it assists in elevating broken roots from the socket.

For convenience, dental professionals can use an Anglevator instead of a crane pick. The crane pick anglevator will make the procedure faster and more effective. This all-in-one tool is the best option to luxate and elevate teeth and remove broken roots from the socket.

So, our Anglevator as a Crane Pick is an ideal and cost-efficient choice for dentists to facilitate their dental practice.

3. Elevator

An elevator is a common dental instrument that helps dental surgeons elevate teeth, making extraction easier. In addition, it is helpful

to elevate teeth when teeth are weak or at risk of breaking. Dentists also use elevators to remove roots or impacted teeth that are difficult to reach with forceps.

Our Anglevator as Elevator is more effective than the conventional elevator. It has made the job of a common elevator less hectic for dentists, as it can luxate and elevate teeth more effectively without hurting the encompassing structure.

Thus, getting an Anglevator in place of an elevator is ideal for dentists to make tooth extraction more convenient.

4. Luxator

Dentists use a luxator to luxate teeth before extraction, making the procedure atraumatic. It has an almost similar structure and function to the elevator. But the luxator is sharper and thinner than conventional elevators. As a result, it can easily fit into small apical gaps and sever the periodontal ligament more effectively.

However, in this era of modern dentistry, dental experts can use our state-of-the-art Anglevator in place of elevators or luxators. The reason is that this innovative hybrid tool can luxate and elevate the teeth more efficiently. Moreover, its ergonomic design structure best fits the surgeon’s hand.

Hence, this versatile dental instrument is a must-have for dentists to efficiently perform the job of a luxator and a couple of other dental tools.

5. Periotome

The Periotome is another dental extraction instrument. It features a single or double-ended structure that helps cut the periodontal ligament from the tooth root surface during the extraction procedure.

Moreover, the periotome is a special dental tool made to be pressed vertically along the tooth root's long axis in the periodontal ligament region. Its tip is flatter and slimmer than traditional elevators.

Practically, an Anglevator is more efficient than a periotome. The sharp tip of the Anglevator in the periotome can smoothly cut the PDL, making the procedure quick and less problematic.

Thereupon, the specialties of the Anglevator make this tool an inevitable part of your dental instrument kit.

6. Proximator

The Proximator is designed to sever the ligaments in the PDL space. Primarily, this single-ended round handle instrument helps severe the periodontal fibers, creating a lateral expansion of the alveolus.

Featuring a sharp pointed tip, our Anglevator can be used ideally in place of a proximator to sever the PDL efficiently. Our experts have crafted this tool perfectly to ensure greater precision in dental procedures.

Picking up our all-in-one instrument instead of 6 different dental tools is a wise choice for those practicing dentistry.

Why Prefer Anglevator Over Conventional Elevator?

Anglevator is the most updated version of the common dental elevator and luxator that has made tooth extraction easier for surgeons and less painful for patients. The ergonomic design of the instrument helps prevent any traumatic injury during luxation, making the procedure smooth and less problematic.

As already discussed, a conventional elevator is only useful for elevation and luxation of the teeth. Contrarily, in addition to dental extraction, an Anglevator can help dentists with many other dental procedures, such as

  • Elevating and luxating the teeth
  • Severing periodontal ligaments
  • Splitting multi-rooted teeth
  • Removing decayed roots
  • Removing broken root fragments (the job of a crane pick)
  • Dental implant procedure

Furthermore, it is an excellent replacement for Proximator, Chisel, Crane Pick, Elevator, Periotome, and Luxator. Therefore, dental professionals don’t need to spend on six separate dental instruments if they have an Anglevator in their kit.

How to Use an Anglevator?

A dental Anglevator instrument works following the principle of levers. It features a pointed tip that can easily glide between the bone and root in the periodontal ligament spaces.

Extraction With Anglevator

While performing a tooth extraction procedure with this delicate dental tool, follow the steps below:

(Hold the Anglevator with your fingertips)

Step 1: Place the angled blade into the PDL space and work in an apical direction with a slight rocking force.

Step 2: Penetrate deeper with the same motion.

Pro Tip: Don’t elevate with the tip. Penetrate at least 2 mm as the tip may break otherwise.

Step 3: Slightly twist the anglevator with fingers or wrist to begin luxating the root.

Step 4: Extract the tooth with fingers or forceps.

Precautions

Strictly follow the enlisted precautions to make the optimum use of the anglevator and avoid serious complications:

  • Carefully insert the tip of the instrument into confined spaces.
  • Position the Angled blade point on the mesial buccal in an apical orientation.
  • Avoid using the instrument in a prying motion to prevent the breakage of the delicate tip.
  • Also, do not apply direct pressure to the tooth roots to avoid trauma.
  • The improper use of the tool can damage it permanently, so be careful.
  • Properly clean, disinfect, and sterilize the instrument after each use.
